Frequently Asked Questions
What is Workflow86 AI?
Workflow86 AI is a suite of AI-powered tools that allow you to use AI to build, configure and run workflows on the Workflow86 platform.
What information does the AI have access to?
The AI has access to the following information which will be automatically provided to it when responding to your message:
- the current configuration of any components such as fields, logic statements, placeholders, content etc
- all secrets and credentials placeholders available to the workflow but not the actual values
- all databases available to the workflow including its name, columns and table structure but not any actual data within those databases
- all input placeholders available to the workflow
Any information provided within a workflow or component is provided to the AI. For example, if you enter an email address into an email component, the AI will be provided with that email address. It is recommended that any sensitive information be provided as placeholders rather printed directly within the workflow or component.
Why does the AI need this information?
The AI uses this information to help it understand your instructions and to help it build and configure workflows on your behalf. For example, if you ask the AI to build a new component, it will use the information about the current configuration of the components upstream of it to help it understand how to configure the new component. Similarly, if you ask the AI to edit a component, it will use the current configuration of the component to help it understand how to apply the changes you have requested. If the AI is configuring an API request to integrate with an external app, it will use the secrets and credentials placeholders available to the workflow to help it understand how to authenticate the request.
How does the AI handle secrets and credentials?
The AI is only provided with the placeholders representing the secret or credential - it is never provided the actual value of the secret or credential itself. All secrets and credentials are securely stored and used by the Workflow86 platform.
What AI providers does Workflow86 use?
Workflow86 primarily uses OpenAI models for its AI capabilities. You can find more information and data retention details here.
Are my conversations with the AI logged or stored with any third parties?
No, they are not logged or stored with any third parties. They are stored securely within the Workflow86 platform for the sole purpose of providing the AI service to you.
