Typeform Submission

ComponentTypeDescription
imgTypeform๐Ÿšฉ triggerTrigger and workflow and get data from Typeform

This component allows you to trigger a workflow using a form from Typeform. A workflow will be started when a submission is made from a Typeform form and all the data inside that form can be used inside the workflow.

Log into Typeform#

First, you will need to log into your Typeform account.

img

You will be redirected to a page where you will need to give Workflow86 access to some information about your Typeform account.

img

Select form#

When you click accept, we will get a list of the forms you have on your account. You can then select the form you want to connect in from the dropdown menu.

img

Send a sample#

Once you have selected your form, you will need to make a sample submission so we can grab all the question fields to map into placeholders.

img

Go to your Typeform account, open up the form you are connecting and then fill out the questions and make a submission.

img

img

If the submission was not found, you will see the follow error message. Try submitting again.

img

If the submission was received you will proceed to the next step.

Sample received#

If a sample submission was received from Typeform, you will see the following where you can quickly review whether all the data is correct.

img

If it is not correct, you can click "Back" and try sending another sample.

Set placeholders#

Now that we have a sample submission, we can map that data into placeholders.

img

Tick which data from the sample you want to convert into placeholders. For example, if I want the "event_id" value and "form_response.form_id" values from every Typeform submission to be exported as placeholders, I will tick those.

Note that you can rename the placeholders to whatever you would like in the third column. Once you are done, click "Finish".

Finish#

The final page will provide a summary of everything you have just set up. Once the workflow has been published, when a Typeform submission is made from the connected form, a workflow session will be triggered and the data mapped and exported as placeholders per your configuration.

Check the access controls#

After publishing your workflow, make sure to double check the access controls and switch your Typeform component from restricted to public.

If it looks like this, your Typeform submission will not work.

It should be switched to public like this:
